This painting was inspired by one of the most beautiful love songs ever written - Stand by me by Ben E. King

This painting grew out of that line. The shapes move toward one another, curve around, overlap, and stay. Nothing rushes. Nothing leaves. Each form holds space for the next, the way people do when words aren’t enough.

The lines feel like reassurance—steady, repeating, familiar. Even as the colors shift and the composition turns, there is a sense of being accompanied. Of not having to carry everything alone. The movement suggests that support doesn’t always arrive loudly; sometimes it simply stays.

Stand By Me is about closeness. About the quiet strength of presence. About knowing that in moments of trouble, there is something that remains beside you—unmoving in its care, gentle in its resolve.
