Groovin’

There’s something about Groovin’ by The Rascals that immediately puts me somewhere else. It’s warm, familiar and completely unhurried.

I painted this one without trying to make everything behave. The shapes wander, overlap and change direction, while the colours keep pulling your eye somewhere new. There’s no real beginning or end to it—which is probably what I like most.

It’s just a happy painting.
